    The Metallic Structures/SFT Technician willreport to the Metallic Structures/SFT Supervisor and will be anexperienced and mechanical skilled They will have the ability touse diagnostic techniques and undertake a range of detailedmaintenance activities in the metallic structures bay and thesupersonic fuel tank They will be responsible for maintainingairworthiness through appropriate task delegation and authorisationon Metallic Structures and SFT

    The post holderrequires a good understanding of the construct of the approvedTechnical Information set and is competent to work unaided toapproved data, maintenance instructions and in accordance with theorganisation s Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).Demonstrates the ability to analyse and diagnose faults toequipment & assemblies, follow diagnostic procedures andwork effectively within a team provide guidance to less experiencedteam members in a diverse and dynamic operationalenvironment

    Requirements

    Undertaking detailed maintenance and inspection activities on themetallic structures and SFT Assuring work carried out has beencompleted in accordance with the Work package using the relevantapproved technical information with an awareness of configurationResolving faults and maintenance issues

    Reviewing operational performance of aircraft components &Analyse and diagnose faults to components & assemblies,apply diagnostic skills & knowledge to effect repairs ormodify equipment or suggest improvements toprocedures

    Ensuring that maintenance isundertaken to schedule and resolve any issues, escalate asrequired

    Undertaking and complete taskedmaintenance & diagnostic activities on the metallicstructures/SFT components which may include, as appropriate:component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, faultrectifications, replacements and/or functional/systemtest

    Demonstrate a flexible and proactiveattitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the roleand takes direction appropriately

    Maintainingpersonal task authorisation for working on an aircraft orcomponents

    Progress reporting against deliverytargets to the supervisor/ controller

    Maintaining a personal Log Book to demonstrate currency andrecency, on completion of On the Job training (OJT)activities

    Undertaking support tasks within themetallic structures/SFT bay facility which are required to maintaincompliance with the MOE ( oversight checks, control of tooling/testequipment)

    Undertaking fault evaluation andraise ad hoc work cards for found faults duringmaintenance

    • Completion of an EngineeringApprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or Militaryequivalent apprenticeship / Academic qualification for this role isa minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in AeronauticalEngineering and Maintenance or Aircraft platform training (on a/crequirement)
