Description

We are looking to hire a
Power BI Developer who will be a part of the Advanced Analytic program and responsible for data visualization and designing complex reports and dashboards for our client, one of the largest semi-organization in Dubai, UAE.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of
12 months which is renewable.

We are looking for a
Power BI Developer passionate about
data analytics, data visualization, data modelling and building complex dashboards.

You also should have experience in
Microsoft Azure BI Stack.

Key responsibilities:

Perform data visualization and present for business through the creation of reports and queries
Develop complex Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements and assigned projects.
Understand business requirements and actively provide inputs from a Data perspective, translating business needs to technical specifications.
Understand the underlying data and flow of data.
Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools)
Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g., MicroStrategy)
Create tools to store data (e.g., OLAP cubes)
Perform data visualization and present for business through the creation of reports and queries
Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop and update technical documentation

Knowledge, skills & experience:

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics or similar
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Power BI developer
Microsoft Certified in Power BI (Nice to have)
Proficient in developing complex reports and dashboards using Power BI
Experience in Data preparation, Data gateway, and Data warehousing projects.
Experience working in Relational Modelling, Dimensional Modelling and Modelling of Unstructured Data.
Able to exhibit an understanding of Data Integration, Data Quality, and data architecture.
Experience in reporting, building dashboards, building data models, analyzing datasets, and administration of Power BI tools.
Experience in tools and systems on MS SQL Server BI Stack, including TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX.
Strong experience in DWH data modelling
Experience in Python/Pyspark will be an advantage.
Should have working experience in MS Azure cloud, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, SSIS, Azure Analysis Service, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, and Azure Logic Apps.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps or any version control system.
Experience in database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design, and more.
