Primary Objective
To Manage, control/reduce the plant and machinery operating expenses of construction company with minimum disruption to the project activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To verify the P&M job card towards of routine or break down work; and identify whether fresh purchase is required, or service need to be obtained from the vendors.
Maximize and efficiently run all utilities costs saving and sustainability benefits.
Continuous improvement actions and measures to reduce costs of P&M Department
Check/analyse daily maintenance reports.
Coordinate with P&M workshop technical team and reviewing preventive maintenance plan.
Track equipment spares inventory, maintain sufficient inventories, and accurate records and place orders, when necessary, with coordination with Purchase team.
To coordinate with the outside agencies or vendors for repair and maintenance work of vehicles and Machines.
Act proactively to prevent any future maintenance problems and improve line efficiency. Discuss with Site P&M team on regular interval and resolve the issues to achieve optimum efficiency.
Preparing cost estimates for equipment, vehicles, and varies machines used in construction sites.
Survey efficiently the spare parts markets for competitive substitutes.
Negotiate with suppliers, if needed, to get the most appropriate prices & conditions.
Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of spare parts.
Decide on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
Take inventory of stock.
Conduct Plant and Machinery audits.
Preparation of P&M procurement related reports, comparison statements and monthly MIS report.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of UAE spare parts vendors and prevailing market price of spare parts.

Strong technical knowledge of machines, vehicles, and equipment's

Previous work experience of diagnosing breakdown problems of Machinery and equipment's and carry out routine maintenance work.

Supervisory Skills to Manage Teams

Excellent computer skills

Budgeting for Maintenance Department
