The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the Board of Directors, leading the financial function across Cemcoa and its affiliated entities operating in commodity trading, shipping, alternative fuels, and support services. This position is responsible for shaping the group's financial strategy, improving capital efficiency, supporting commercial growth, and ensuring robust governance across multi-jurisdictional operations. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, extensive banking relationships, deep Oracle ERP capability, and experience in trade finance, M&A, and global reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Capital Structuring

• Define and execute group-level financial strategy, aligned to business goals
• Lead trade finance efforts (LCs, SBLCs, invoice discounting) across entities and regions
• Raise and manage working capital and project finance lines (USD 50M+)
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with banks and credit insurers
• Present financial strategy, performance forecasts, and risk assessments to the Board

2. Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

• Support trading, chartering, and business development teams with financial insights
• Evaluate new desks, regions, JVs, or structures using financial modelling (IRR, NPV)
• Participate in structuring intercompany arrangements and commercial frameworks
• Deliver clear, strategic input to business heads on profitability and margin protection

3. M&A and Expansion Project Finance

• Lead due diligence and financial modelling for greenfield, brownfield, and acquisition opportunities
• Raise CAPEX funding and liaise with banks, legal, and project stakeholders
• Drive implementation of financial governance for major investments and expansion

4. Reporting, Compliance & Audit

• Deliver accurate and timely IFRS-compliant consolidated financials across multiple jurisdictions
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and monthly management reporting
• Lead internal and external audits; ensure compliance with UAE CT, VAT, and international tax regimes
• Review and enhance financial policies, SOPs, and authority matrices

5. ERP, Digitalisation & Data Governance

• Enforce ERP-first practices and eliminate dependency on offline reporting
• Strengthen Oracle Financials discipline across accounting, budgeting, and reporting processes
• Champion real-time dashboards, financial analytics, and reporting automation

5. Leadership & Organisation Development

• Lead and develop a multi-country finance team; identify gaps and structure improvements
• Build internal capability, succession bench, and data-led decision-making culture
• Serve as a credible voice in cross-functional discussions with senior stakeholders

Required Experience:

• Proven track record in bulk commodity trading & shipping
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in Dubai.
• Ability to work independently and lead without extensive support teams.
• Functional user of Oracle ERP and past experience in digital transformation projects.
  
• Experience as CFO of a company with minimum USD 1 billion annual revenue
• Ability to secure new banking credit lines and establish banking relationships.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and strategic planning abilities.
• Experience in risk management, especially managing trading operations involving higher risk payment terms such as open credit, pre-payment, stock & sale operations etc.
• Experience in raising trade finance capital.
  

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in accounting or Chartered Accountant qualification (mandatory)
  
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred
