    Our Expectations From TheRole

    • As anexpert being able to collaborate with a customer and craftindividual events.
    • Taking care of a smoothtransition from sales to eventsplanning.
    • Handle groups & eventscontracted by the Sales team ranging from 1 room per night/ 1 guestto 450 rooms per night/ 450 guest
    • Focus onpop-up groups (group handovers within 7 working days which will notgo through sales)
    • Focus on pop-up events andbeing the contact person for the Marriott RegionalOffice.
    • Focus on future planning potentialproblems and/or conflicts from a service/planning point of view andsolutions towards them to improve guest satisfaction and planningefficiency.
    • Being proactive in offeringsolutions.
    • Creating Banquet EventOrders.
    • Accurately forecasts all the events(bedrooms and/or catering)
    • Guidance and supportthroughout the event.
    • Being knowledgeable aboutproduct and services.
    • Handle the billingprocess by preparing invoices, having bill reviews with the guestand finalizing the invoices by ensuring billingaccuracy.
    • Takes total ownership andresponsibilities for the successful planning and coordination ofgroups & events assigned.
    • Continuouscommunication with the operational team.
    • Beavailable as needed during the event phase for their assignedgroups.
    • Working effectively with third partyvendors.
    • Organizing & planning thegroup rooms side of the event.
    • Working incoordination with assigned Group housing partner to ensure roominglist & room instructions have been updatedaccurately.
    • Guiding the client throughout theevent as the expert partner for the guest by being aconsultant
    • Attend the daily servicecommunication tool; BEO meeting.
    • Up-sell lastminute items to ensure profitability.
    • Conductpre- and post-conference meetings in line with Marriottstandards.
    • Show around in connection within-house functions.
    • Coordinate all activitiesinvolving the pre- and post-eventprocess.
    • Communicate challenging situationsaccurate to responsible departments.
    • Handleguest complaints in a professional manner and come up withsolutions.
    • Responsibility of working onindividual projects besides the organization ofevents.
    • Following department timelines foractualization, BEO & Group resume distribution, rostering,forecasting, etc.
    • Rewarding bonvoy points in atimely manner after checking the required criteria mentioned on theJob Aid for posting points.
