ASAP - 1 year with the possibility of extensionLocation: DubaiAssignment DescriptionThe Technical Safety Engineer reporting to Technical Safety and WE Lead will be an integralpart of PDE Project Management organization, working collaboratively within thePDE organization, systems, procedures, and methods.

The Technical Safety Engineer shall be responsible for managing the complete workingenvironment in design scope.

• Responsible for providing technical support within the technical safety discipline forEPC deliverables. This includes being familiar with relevant rules, regulations andstandards applicable for the discipline and familiarize with relevant documentationfrom previous project phases and other Knarr specific documentation.
• Ensure that all activities within the responsibility are carried out in conformancewith laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the EPC ManagementPlan.
• Review documentation according to Document Distribution Matrix.
• Collaborate with the client for design solutions and verifications.
• Participate in discipline checks, design reviews, HAZIDs and HAZOPs.
• Follow up contractors and report to the Tech Safety and WE lead any delay inprogressing the engineering deliverables for the project scope within responsibility.
• Contribute to experience transfer within the company.
• Actively take part in improvement of work procedures in order to optimize workprocesses.

Qualifications

• Technical education on bachelor level or higher
• Strong understanding and working experience in areas such as QRA, Fire &Explosion Study, Hydraulic analysis, Process safety, Functional safety, PFP,RAM analysis and UK safety case etc.
• Familiarity with UK rules & regulations is strongly desired and relevantexperience of UK North Sea project execution is an advantage
• Recent relevant experience in middle east / southeast Asian shipyards is anadvantage
• Recent experience of working on modification projects and / or FPSOredeployment is strongly desired.
