This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that drive competitive advantage, revenue growth, and operational excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry & global market dynamics.

Main tasks and responsibilitiesDevelop and Drive Global Strategy:

Lead the development and execution of the company's global strategic plan in alignment with the overall corporate vision and goals.

Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify strategic opportunities and threats.
Define and prioritize strategic initiatives to drive sustainable growth and profitability across all WF business units.


Strategic Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.
Establish clear goals, timelines, and performance metrics to measure progress and success.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, making adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes.


Business Development and Market Expansion:
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions to expand the company's market presence and capabilities.
Drive market entry strategies for new geographies or industry verticals, leveraging market research and competitive analysis.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.


Innovation and Disruption:
Explore new business models, digital solutions, and process improvements to enhance customer value and operational efficiency.
Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning to drive innovation across the company.


Risk Management and Scenario Planning:
Assess and mitigate strategic risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and economic factors that may impact the company's performance.
Conduct scenario planning exercises to anticipate potential future scenarios and develop contingency plans to respond effectively.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all strategic initiatives and business activities.


Leadership and Team Development:
Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the strategy team, fostering a high-performance culture and professional development.
Build a diverse and talented team capable of delivering strategic insights, analytical rigor, and innovative solutions.

Finance | HR & Admin | Operations | Commercial | SalesEducational RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Language RequirementsBackground and ExperienceProven track record of leadership and strategic management experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Competencies and skillsDeep understanding of global market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends affecting the freight forwarding business.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data and insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.

Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling vision and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of balancing long-term strategic priorities with short-term operational needs.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
