Summary
Responsible for the safe, efficient, and productive movement of containers to and from vessels.
Responsibilities
Performs a pre-shift check to ensure there are no defects with their crane prior to commencement of work.
Operates quay cranes /mobile quay cranes on the terminal in accordance with company policies.
Positions the crane safely on the vessel as per the vessel supervisor and hatch man's instructions.
Coordinates with the supervisor and hatch man for instructions with regards to the loading and discharging of cargo.
Undertakes routine cleaning of QC cabins and windows.
Reports vessel or cargo damages accordingly.
Ensures that all cargo is handled safely.
Operates other terminal container handling equipment as instructed and required.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualification
Educational Background
High School or equivalent
Related Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience operating a quay crane. Preferably have prior experience with terminal operating systems, especially MACH
