- Requires knowledge of basic electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to satellite tracking systems and equipment.
- Running tests, diagnostics/calibrations, and troubleshooting equipment after installation.
- Using CAD software to develop designs and implement feedback from Engineers.
- Work with engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.
- Ability to read/interpret schematics, system interconnects drawings utilizing Technical Orders.
- Familiar with test equipment such as: Analog/digital multi-meter, O-Scope, network analyzer, protocol analyzer, signal generators, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
- Knowledge and understanding of how to utilize hand tools, drills, socket wrenches, pliers, civil engineering type tools/techniques-fork lift, cranes, booms, and man-lifts.
- Possess an electronics background in Analog/Digital and Radio Frequency (RF) theory.
- Participate in hardware and software installation, test, and acceptance activities.
- Support the design, documentation, integration, installation & checkout, test and evaluation and lifecycle support of network systems and products.
- Implement sustainment processes that include ATB testing and on-site testing, when applicable for all new hardware/software and upgrades or modifications to legacy equipment.
- Utilize/develop technical data and specifications when testing hardware/software conformance.
- A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience. 2 years applicable related experience.
