    Description
    The Role
    • Support the Head of Construction on the day-to-day tasks.
    • Reviews client RFP's and requirements, works out designs (with consultant support as needed) and preparing detailed design, timelines and Bill of Materials when required for execution.
    • Provide support for procurement department for material selection throughout all procurement process.
    • Supports estimation for new projects during the bidding process.
    • Provide input to develop the Project Schedule.
    • Manages technical coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and utility providers.
    • Prepares and reviews pre-construction documentation including shop drawings, material submittal s, method statements, Quality Plan, HSE plans and Commissioning Plan
    • Reviews projects progress including project schedule and quality control/ auditing.
    • Oversees all projects activities in various locations worldwide.
    • Contributes to the commercial success of projects, supporting the commercial team in the valuation of works incorporating change management, and claims.
    • Stands in for the Head of Construction during his absence and leads the PMO team during these times.

    Requirements
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil)
    • 10+ years' experience preferably involved in giving support to the project managers, site team and other departments.
    • Minimum 10+ years of Lead Engineering experience (Project Management experience is desirable)
    • Thorough understanding of Electrical / Mechanical / Civil standard engineering principles
    • Must be familiar with American, BS and International standards and codes.
    • Experience in remote location construction including sizing of island mode installations is an advantage.
    • Good Knowledge of construction/ engineering (Civil & Mechanical experience is an advantage)
    • Excellent communication, negotiation skills and technical writing skills
    • Accurate administration skills to competently manage the project post contract process and requirements.
    • Planning, organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure the timely collation of information and delivery of the document to the client.
    • Ability to work on own initiative and with the minimum supervision required.
    • Flexibility with regards to working across all areas of the business and as and when the work demands (ability to travel to different countries)
    • Fluent in English, French is an advantage.
    • Discipline-specific professional registration preferred.
    • High degree of personal motivation
