The Department of Internal Medicine, Collegeof Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), UAE University, seeks acandidate for faculty position at the rank of Assistant orAssociate Professor in General (Internal) Medicine and ClinicalCardiology.

The primary missions of the College of Medicine areeducation and research, but clinical practice opportunities areavailable too. The successful candidate will therefore engage inteaching undergraduate preclinical and clinical medical students.

The appointee will also be involved in the organization of clinicalexaminations in Internal Medicine and Clinical Cardiology for MBBSand postgraduate certification (Arab Board, MRCP, etc.).

There willalso be an opportunity to take part in the consultant rota thatcovers acute General Medicine and/or Clinical Cardiology admissionsat one of the two teaching hospitals, and to contribute to researchwithin the CMHS and in collaboration with clinical colleagues inthe two teaching hospitals.
MinimumQualification Candidates for this position must holdan MD or MBBS and demonstrate evidence of advanced training, andhave certification/fellowship (or equivalent), in both General(Internal) Medicine and Clinical Cardiology from accredited centersin North America, Australia, Europe or South Africa.

Undergraduateand postgraduate teaching experience is also required. The CMHSoperates an internationally recognized, integrated andproblem-based curriculum and provides excellent researchfacilities.

Familiarity with USMLE, Canadian QualifyingExaminations and the operation/accreditation of graduate medicalprograms and certification/fellowship in North America, Australia,Europe or the Arab Board is desirable.
