- Highschool diploma or general education degree (GEDrequired)
- Must have obtained ASME 9certification, AWS D1.1 certification, or equivalent on Stainlessand Carbon Steel, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core, along with three yearswork experience in welding MIG, TIG and Fluxcore
- Vocational training course completion ispreferred
- Ability to read and interpretblueprints, read measuring instruments (i.e. tape measures, etc.),and operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Mustbe dependable with an excellent attendance record in order tomaintain strict production schedules
- Thoroughunderstanding of machines and tools used in welding includingdesigns, uses, maintenance and repair
- Basicunderstanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessaryfor the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models andblueprints
- Excellent ability to read and listento assignments given in a variety offorms
- Basic understanding of mathematics asrelated to weldingassignments
- Welds componentsto specified instructions, utilizing standard welding equipment(TIG, Flux Core, MIG, Stick) to predetermined dimensions andtolerance
- Verifies and acknowledges componentpart is properly prepared, fabricated, and braced for the weldprocess specified
- Able to operate brake press,hydraulic presses, drill press, and hydraulicrollers
- Maintains, organizes, and cleansequipment and the work area
- Accurately recordsjob transactions and router hours
- Abides by allcompany policies with emphasis on attendance andsafety
- Performs other related duties asassigned
