This is a leadership role who will oversee the operations of the bakery team in the kitchen.

  • Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs, executive and sous chefs to ensure a successful working environment
  • Prepare a variety of baked goods
  • Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
  • Monitor, order new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section, when needed, and within budget
  • Meet with Head Chef to discuss custommade desserts or baked goods for special occasions
  • Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations
  • Identify staffing needs, help to recruit new personnel and train them
  • Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends

Pastry Chef Requirements:

  • 5 or more years' experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role.
  • Ability to create and implement new menus
  • Experience in corporate catering
  • Cost control and recipe management
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Work in high pressure environment
  • Capacity to produce in large quantities
  • Indepth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.
  • Capable of working in a fastpaced, production environment.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
AED7, AED8,000.00 per month

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Pastry (Supervisory): 5 years (required)
