Production Manager - Sign Company

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic sign company team.

As a Production Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the sign manufacturing process.

Your leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail will contribute to the successful execution of projects while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting client expectations.

Responsibilities:

Production Oversight: Manage and supervise all aspects of sign production operations, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, adherence to timelines, and achievement of production targets.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production staff, including graphic designers, fabricators, assemblers, and other relevant personnel. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement.

Workflow Coordination: Develop production schedules, allocate resources, and monitor work progress to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects. Anticipate and resolve any potential bottlenecks or delays.

Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control processes to guarantee that all products meet company standards and customer specifications. Conduct regular inspections to identify defects and deviations from design requirements.

Materials Management: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies. Maintain accurate inventory records and reorder materials as needed to avoid shortages.

Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime. Coordinate with technical support and external vendors as necessary.

Cost Control: Monitor production costs, analyze expenses, and identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce waste. Make recommendations for process improvements that enhance efficiency and profitability.

Health and Safety: Champion a safe working environment by adhering to occupational health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety awareness among the production team.

Communication: Foster clear and effective communication channels between departments, including sales, design, and installation teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to manage client expectations and address any project-related concerns.

Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including project specifications, work orders, and production reports. Generate performance metrics and reports to evaluate production efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to sign manufacturing. Seek opportunities for skill development and training to enhance personal and team capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in sign production or a related manufacturing field, with a minimum of 10 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse production team.
Indepth knowledge of sign manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in using production management software and tools.
Problemsolving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Solid understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and clients.
