    What will I bedoing?

    As a TelephonesOperator, you will accept, deliver and respond to Guest andmanagement messages, enquiries and emergencies using theirknowledge of the hotel facilities, services, and the local vicinityto quickly respond to the customer. A Switchboard Telephonistcontributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore,must perform the following tasks to the higheststandards:

    • Achievepositive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficientmanner
    • Accept and deliver all messagescorrectly and promptly for both Guests andmanagement
    • Ensure all wake up calls take placeat the correct time
    • Demonstrate knowledge ofall hotel facilities and service and use up-selling techniques topromote these offerings when theappropriate
    • Handle emergency calls immediatelyand relay comprehensive and accurate information, asrequired
    • Demonstrate a high level of customerservice at all times
    • Comply with hotelsecurity, fire regulations and all health and safetylegislation
    • Attend appropriate trainingcourses, when required
    • Demonstrate a knowledgeof all hotel services, local attractions and landmarks in the hotelvicinity
    • Follow company brandstandards
    • Assist other departments, asnecessary
