Description

• Experience working with stainless steel fabricating tools and techniques is essential.
• Certification as a Stainless Steel Fabricator by one of the professional organizations such as ASM, SSAB, NABE etc can be beneficial for career advancement opportunities.
• Strong mechanical skills are necessary to operate welding equipment and machines used in fabrication processes associated with stainless steel products manufacture such as CNC machining centers and lathes; plasma cutting torches; shears; punches & die sets; grinders & saws etc.; good handeye coordination is also important due to repetitive use of handheld tooling throughout fabrication process.
• Being able to work independently under pressure while meeting deadlines is an important factor in becoming a successful Stainless Steel Fabricator

• Good problem solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and precision when fabricating parts
• Strong tooling and fabrication capability in stainless steel welding, cutting, drilling, soldering etc
• Knowledge of industrial processes such as heat treating and corrosion prevention methods for stainless steels
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision
