About the job Logistics Coordinator:

Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
Utilize logistics IT to optimize shipping and transport procedures
Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
Keep Statistical logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, pending orders, orders to place etc.
Prepare accurate reports for upper management
Keeping a log of all price trends and vendor communication history
Prepare timely activity reports for upper management
Quality control & inspection management with the vendors.
Travel to ensure efficient processes and control of the supply chain and quality control for all orders.
Liaison with the inspection companies to ensure the inspection norms and regulatory compliances must be adhered to.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

5+ years proven experience as logistics coordinator
Ability to create strong vendor relations
Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements to ensure all logístical measures being followed
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computersavvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
