Responsibilities for event management

• Develop relationships on campus and followup in an organized manner
• Some administrative duties such as answering phones, preparing forecasts and reports, entering and assigning sales leads
• Prospect new business and develop relationships outside of the ND community to book conferences, events and hotel room blocks to increase customer base and to maximize revenue
• Participate in yield meetings, prepare reports and forecasts
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies with team and product stakeholders, work with Product Owner to facilitate product backlog grooming
• Execute the performance management process with your team and ensure a fluent daily business including holiday planning
• Provide support, enable and empower Conference Services Business Partners to understand client needs and act in an entrepreneurial capacity by providing the best solution to the client
• Plan and monitor the logistics of events, such as venue set up, technical infrastructure, security, transportation and staff planning in close collaboration with Conference Services Administration
• Provide onsite support during the event if required (extended hours, including weekends, may be involved)
• Ensure post consistent event production delivery

Qualifications for event management

• Demonstrated ability and knowledge of information system tools (e.g., causal analysis, computer hardware and software, network, Internet) for gathering and analyzing data and for report and presentation preparation are required
• Possess a strong data technology background with the ability to challenge or validate information model and technology decisions from a position of knowledge and experience
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• A track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
