    Responsibilities:

    • Support updating of facility Permits,Plans and SOP's.
    • Review and updatefacility audit packages
    • Performs other dutiesas required including but not limited to directly interfacing withcustomers, external sales, internal sales and facilities to aid inthe approval process as well as completing actualapprovals

    Policy Participation:

    • Assists in the development ofEH&S policies and procedures which are applicable to theconduct of business both by EH&S, Sales and Marketing,AE's, Covanta facilities and customers.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science in science(biology, chemistry, environmental science, occupational health andsafety) or engineering (environmental, chemical, mechanical,industrial hygiene etc.) or similar degreepreferred.
    • Word processing, database,spreadsheet, and power point skills.
    • Knowledgeof OSHA, ANSI, ASME and NPPA, DOT regulations, EPA Clean Water Actand RCRA requirements.
    • Minimum of 2+years' experience as safety and/or environmentalprofessional responsible for compliance in the area of OSHA, ANSI,ASME NFPA, DOT standards.
    • Excellent written andverbal communication skills.
    • Ability to speakeffectively before groups of customers or employees of theorganization.
    • Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety and environmental rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, Code of Federal regulation, OSHAregulations and other consensus standards, and proceduremanuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence.
    • Ability to work withmathematical concepts such as probability and statisticalinference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry andtrigonometry.
    • Ability to apply concepts suchas fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practicalsituations.
    • Excellent statistical andanalytical skills
    • Ability to travel isrequired.
