    PXGEO is seeking an experienced and driven Finance Manager specializing in Tax to join our growing team in Dubai.

    In this role, you will be responsible for advising on the tax implications of regional and international operations as well as other tax-related responsibilities, including VAT, corporate income tax, mobile employee taxes, and withholding taxesAt PXGEO, we value innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement, and we are looking for a Finance Manager who shares these values and is eager to contribute to our success.


    Main Responsibilities:

    Manage complex technical issues in a legally constantly evolving environment, which means to keep aware of new laws and regulations as well as their application by the various tax administrations in every country where the group is performing business, keeping in mind deadlines, both internal and external, Optimize tax rate and tax cash in a tough environment, managing complex technical without jeopardizing security for the group, Dealing with all sorts of counterparts, who can have divergent interests, keeping in mind the interests of the group, both on Effective Tax Rate and tax cash aspects, in line with the group objectives.


    Preparation or validation and timely delivery of returns for income tax, VAT or any VAT like tax, GST, and withholding (depending on the importance of the country either directly or through HFD or EFD, with validation on a regular basis; withholding on suppliers being managed preferably locally under the tax dept validation) and reporting.

    Custom clearance formalities or returns are not under the responsibility of tax department.

    Comments on bids and provide information for pricing and provide relevant tax clauses to insert in contracts to protect best group interests.

    Preparation and issuance of transfer pricing documentation. Filing of required tax formalities and litigations. Liaising with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.

    Ensuring appropriate internal controls for tax accounting are in place. Evaluating tax risks and making recommendations that are objective, practical, technically appropriate and supportive of the Business.

    Providing tax advisory services and supporting other departments as required. Managing relationships with external Advisors to procure timely and accurate advice, in a cost-effective manner.

    Support in assisting and ensuring a proper defense of PXGEO in case of tax audits.

    Degree level qualification in Law, Economics or Accounting is required.

    Master's Degree in Tax or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.

    Previous experience of permanent establishment taxation, tax treaty application and transfer pricing. Extensive experience of global offshore tax issues (e.g. from the seismic, rig or other offshore industries).

    Minimum of 8 years' experience in either a major accounting firm, a large corporate tax department/s or within a relevant government tax office.

    Strong communication, problem solving, analytical and research skills. Highly proactive, influential, and driven. Advanced English skills, both written and verbal. Experience with International Bids and Tenders#J-18808-Ljbffr
