Job SummaryUrea Technologist is expected to Initiate, Propose and Execute research and development, Debottlenecking/Revamp, Energy saving, Sustainability improvement programs directed towards the improvement of processes and commercial technologies.

Lead in-house new process technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plants. Provide technology support to commercial plants for the shutdown, turnover, and re-commissioning as needed. Provide trouble-shooting & Root cause analysis support and drive problem resolution for commercial plants.

The technologist is also expected to provide support in Growth ProjectsKey Responsibilities:

Provide trouble-shooting & Root cause analysis support for commercial plantsDevelopment of Plant wide Model in Aspen Plus or similar softwareGuide the Plant Improvements/Performance based on model outcomesParticipate in in-house new process technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plantsCarry out Energy and mass balance calculationsConduct Energy Optimization/Pinch StudiesPerform Pump hydraulics calculationsDesign and calculate Heat exchangersEvaluate Various Catalyst performancesConduct Feasibility study & Revamp studyIndependently Review Engineering Documents & Steer design processesDesign and supervise pilot plant experimental runs including data interpretation and reportingCollect and interpret plant process data for recommendations and optimizationActively contribute to plant safety and quality programs.

Requirements:

Preferably holds a Masters or PhD degreeMasters degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience, or PhD with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Technology Development, Plant Support, Modeling, and OptimizationDemonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilitiesStrong leadership skills to effectively collaborate and influence individuals from diverse disciplines and culturesAbility to create, foster, and drive a culture of innovation within the organization.
