- To ensure a smooth administrationof the Engineering department to the standard required by theHotel.
- To provide a courteous, professional,efficient and flexible service at all times, following the hotelstandards of performance, by e-mail, phone or inperson.
- To coordinate all internal and externalcorrespondence, incoming e-mail, and another administrative dutiesfor the Engineering department.
- To maintaincomplete and accurate records of all engineering reports, supplieragreements/contracts as per Sofitel procedures andpolicies.
- To be familiar with the hotelfacilities crucial to the operation of the Engineeringdepartment.
- To perform opening and closingprocedures established for the Engineeringoffice.
- To ensure that an efficient andaccurate filling system, both manual as well as electronically ismaintained at all times.
- To carry out properdocumentation of quarterly, bi-yearly and yearly inventory of theoperating equipment.
- To ensure that theengineering office and surrounding area is kept clean and organizedat all times.
- To process all planned preventivemaintenance and guestroom servicing procedures, follow up oncompletion, and provide feedback to thecomputer.
- To monitor operating supplies andreduce spoilage and wastage.
- To be able toperform emergency procedures.
- Perform dutiesoutside the scope of the position, in case of emergency, whencalled upon.
- Be on call after normal operatinghours and coordinate tradespersons after hours ifnecessary.
- To carry out any other reasonableduties as assigned by the Assistant and Director ofEngineer.
