- Work on thedevelopment of satellite derived habitat maps. As a part of thejob, the candidate is expected to closely work with ourstakeholders including UAE Space Agency, Environment Agency of AbuDhabi and Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
- Assist inmanaging a database of satellite data and the GIS data of thedeveloped maps. The candidate is also expected to track the projectdeliverables including monthly reports and assist the PI inproducing the deliverables on time to the external sponsor. Supervise and train undergraduate and graduate students who will beinvolved in the project.

Job Description The NSSTC is looking to hirea Remote Sensing Researcher to support the development of NSSTCSpace mission projects and R&D activities.
Overallobjectives of the job are - Assist in developing advancedclassification methods to build the habitat maps of UAE using veryhigh resolution satellite data.
- Assist in developing approachesfor accuracy assessment of the habitat maps by means of extensivefield sampling protocols and statistical methods.
- Assist inproviding high quality research support and undertakeinternationally competitive research aimed at publication therebycontributing to the academic and research mission of UAEU and theNSSTC.
- Ability to present research plans and findings in aconvincing style, both in oral and written modes of communication.- The junior researcher is expected to work closely but alsoindependently from the senior research staff.
- The ability to workwith students at UAE University as a mentor is required. Travel maybe required - both domestic and international. - The position islocated at the NSSTC facility in Al Ain. Compensation based onexperience level.Your responsibilities will include:
