Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as an Accounts and Admin Assistant.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling various accounting, administrative, shipping-related tasks, and VAT filing to support the smooth operation of our metal scrap company in Sharjah.


Note:
This position requires the employee to work from our yard, and accommodation will be provided within the yard.


Responsibilities:


Accounting Support:

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, expense reports, and receipts.

Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial transactions.

Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.


Export Documentation and Shipping:

Prepare and process export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.

Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping agents to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods.

Verify shipping documents, such as bills of lading and certificates of origin.

Track and monitor shipments to ensure compliance with international regulations and customer requirements.


VAT Filing:

Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

Maintain proper records of VAT transactions, including input and output tax.

Reconcile VAT transactions and resolve any discrepancies.

Stay updated with changes in VAT laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.


Administrative Tasks:

Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the office located within the yard.

Maintain office supplies and ensure proper inventory management.

Organize and schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.

Assist in maintaining a filing system for documents, records, and reports.


Data Entry and Documentation:

Enter financial and operational data into the accounting system accurately.

Maintain and update customer and vendor databases.

Ensure the confidentiality and security of financial and sensitive company information.


Support Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with colleagues to provide necessary financial information.

Assist in coordinating with external stakeholders, including auditors, shipping agents, and vendors.

Support cross-functional teams with administrative tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience as an accounts assistant, administrative assistant, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.

Experience in handling export documentation, shipping processes, and VAT filing.

Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Tally, Excel).

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Professional and reliable demeanor with a positive attitude.

Work Location, Accommodation, and Visa:
The employee will be required to work from our yard in Sharjah, UAE. Accommodation within the yard premises and UAE visa will be provided.
