We are seeking highly capable registered nurses who can do basic ward and outpatient duties as allocated by the Team leader or the Senior Nurse on Duty to meet the standards required by the Company in providing a high-quality service to patients.

Band 4 starting salary, pre-OSCE, £24,336 per annum, post OSCE - salary can go up to £34,581 per annum.

Education: B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic in Nursing / GNM

Language Certification: IELTS 7 bands in all modules with Writing 6.5 OR OET B grade in all the modules and C+ Writing


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Day Ward:


  • To ensure that the care, welfare, safety and comfort of all patients is of the highest possible standard.
  • To promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships between staff/patients/relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • To be responsible for the admission of any new patient to the Day Ward including establishment of a good mutual relationship completing all relevant documentation identify and introduce named nurse/key worker.
  • Proactively monitor levels of patient care and plan new interventions to maintain optimal patient care.
  • To promote positive working relationships between all groups involved with the welfare of patients.
  • To monitor the performance of staff within the scope of your responsibility.
  • To ensure that the Company's image is projected at all times by the professional appearance/manner of all members of the nursing team.
  • To support and participate in the training and development of nursing care staff.
  • To participate in the induction and continued support of all new staff and to work in a collaborative and cooperative manner, recognizing and respecting each individual's contribution to the hospital.
  • To assist in the creation of a learning environment.
  • To undertake any specific duties as delegated by the Unit Manager/ Team leader on an ad hoc basis.
  • To participate in meetings as appropriate.

Outpatients Department:

Although the role is predominantly based on the Day Ward there is an expectation to support the Outpatient Department as needed

Support will be provided to become competent in fulfilling this role as needed.

  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment to assess individual patient needs, diagnosing actual and potential problem(s) to enable the plan of care to be decided. This will involve using Mallampati scoring system, Goldman Cardiac assessment and the American society of anesthesiologist's scale, and the skills to carry out a basic anesthetic assessment
  • Commence discharge planning and patient education to ensure that the patient / family understands the expected outcomes that are defined in the treatment plan.
  • To provide verbal and written information and advice to patients pertaining to the planned procedure
  • To review tests and investigation results, highlighting those which may require action by Medical Staff. Liaise and discuss outcomes with the Anesthetist and/or Surgeon. Refer patients who are temporally unfit or who do not fit our current criteria back to general practitioners or other Consultants, for further assessment and treatment were indicated
  • Evaluate the Integrated Care Plans (ICP) where necessary. Revise and document any variances to the care in discussion with the MDT
  • To undertake any clerical duties as are appropriate to patient care
  • To continually evaluate the methods used to implement/improve Nursing care and the effectiveness of problemsolving techniques. Ensuring delivery of best practice
