    Job Description

    Under the supervision of the Mechanical team leader and/or Engineering Project Manager, the Mechanical/ Design engineer develops design of water or wastewater treatment plants in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards and company procedures.

    His/her main responsibilities/tasks are as follows:

  • Feed & detail engineering deliverable including P&IDs, valve list, line list, PMS, Material Selection diagram.
  • Participate and assist in technical reviews meeting such as Design Review, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ATEX, Hazardous area classification
  • Develop Specification & Vendor Offer review for Rotary & static equipment, Valve, specialty items, control valve, PSV, orifice plate, strainer, chemical dosing system (as per Oil & gas applicable codes & standards)
  • Calculate Hydraulic profile, Pump Head, Pipe thickness, Line size as per relevant codes & standards
  • Assist draftsmen to feed/review Plot Plan/GA drawing/isometric/BOQ
  • Analysis of the project specifications and codes requirements
  • Preparation of the mechanical and piping design
  • Definition of the mechanical and piping specifications to be used for drafting
  • Supervise and review draftsmen work
  • Review piping stress analyses and structural design calculations
  • Monitor the compliance of the design with specifications and applicable codes
  • Communicate and interface with other engineering disciplines involved in the project
  • Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Process engineer degree
  • Minimum 8 year experience in similar position; experience in O&G projects is a plus
  • Knowledge of Oil&Gas codes and standard or other high end specifications (Power)
  • Able to design independently, with minor instructions from head of department
  • Navis work review
