    Our client is a leading consumermultinational looking to hire an Assistant Legal Manager for theirlegal team based in DubaiUAE.ResponsibilitiesSupportingthe legal policies relevant to MENA activities. Strongunderstanding of MENA governmental structures and policy makingprocess. Ability to represent the Companys point of view throughstrongadvocacy.
    Ability to provide alternatives when there are regulatory policybarriers to business. Provide support adviceon product developments and approval on marketing claims andmarketing materials in India. Review andparticipate in the negotiation review and approval of materialcontracts. Proactively ensure compliance inall areas of laws and contractual agreements and have preventivemeasures in place. Ensure legality of allsignificant contracts entered into by KC in particular with regardto third party contractors distributors purchasing employmentcompensation etc. Participate assist andliaise with corporate functional departments on key distributoragreements professional consultancy/services agreements licensingand assignments as well as in dealing with third parties in mattersof conflict and settlement. Risk managementthrough knowledge and experience and developing compliant systemsand processes. Provide guidance onemployment related issues e.g. termination severance mutualseparation outsourcing arrangements employmenttemplates. Work with the Legal Head to drivecompliance in MENA including driving compliance trainings andinitiatives in MENA region. Develop andprovide training programs for nonlegal functions on contractualintellectual property marketing law issues wherenecessary. Ensure that all material legaland compliance related issues are approved by in accordance withpolicies and guidelines. Establish a strongbusiness partnership based on trust. Beactively involved in managing potential litigation and ensure thatinterest is protected. Proactively managelitigation early case assessments and disputeresolution. Develop and maintainrelationships with relevant external contacts and organizations(e.g. external lawyers lawyers of key customers/competitorsgovernmental organizations regulators trade and industryassociations external bodies etc). Identifywork to be outsourced select and manage external lawyers their feearrangements and service levels. Forbusiness participate in negotiation and advice and be involved inpreparation of documentation for any mergers disposals restructuresstrategic alliances acquisitions ofcompanies. Provide support to HR supplychain procurement and other functional groups in respect ofmatters
    Requirements
    • Degreein Legal or related studies.
    • At least 5 yearsof experience in a inhouse legal role
    • Goodknowledge of legal requirements and procedures ideally within thetrading or FMCG industry
    • Good knowledge of theindustry standards andregulations
