Hello,
I've completed ACCA and I got placed in Goldman Sachs as an equities execution analyst (back office).
My background is in accounting and I'm entering a finance role. I wanted to get tuitions from someone about equities, execution, trade lifecycle, etc

This role is temporary and I will get a permanent position if I perform well in the role.

I was wondering how the day-to-day at the role would be, what skills would be required (excel etc) and if you could teach me the necessary knowledge required to do good there.

The job description is:

• Liaise with the front office to ensure timely accurate booking of new trades and amendments to existing bookings.
• Allocate trades once executed.
• Prematch trades in a timely manner.
• Resolve trade fails.
• Identify and reconcile trade booking errors.
• Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to resolve it to improve trade flow (STP).
• Provide assistance to other teams dealing with trade related queries and acting as an intermediary and liaising with the front office/ clients when necessary.
• Monitor buyin risk liaising with buyin teams and clients in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure trades that are going through a

Corporate Action event are match and settle before the record day.

• Resolve internal breaks to ensure booking records accuracy and integrity.
