POSITION

UAE Business Unit Manager.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

  • Taking overall responsibility for the quality, service and financial effectiveness of the business and ensuring the relevant regulatory and technical standards are met.
  • The position is responsible for overall brand development and implementation for maximized sales and profit.
  • Strategize for brand penetration and positioning within the region to create brand image in the market.

Key Responsibilities (Brand Growth and Profitability)

  • Liaison with HQ Team Members in Egypt
  • Managing the UAE Business Unit on ground Teams (Logistics-WarehouseIT-OnlineRetail)
  • Maximize sales and profitability of brand stores in line with Company targets.
  • Develop Sales Forecast and Control costs within budgetary guidelines for the brand stores.
  • Maximize productivity in stores through effective deployment of resources at brand stores to ensure complete sell through as per brand product, style and assortment plans.
  • Determine buying requirements and formulate buying plan and budget.
  • Ensure adherence to financial plan in all key areas.
  • Involve in recruitment and training of team members.
  • Design the merchandise plan (pricing, promotion, assortment, markdowns etc.) with the team for timely availability of stocks at the stores.
  • Conduct product selection in coordination with the designated team.
  • Ensure Brand Image keeping effective inseason management across territories (stock balancing, markdown management, stock analysis, stock vs. sales performance).
  • Create brand awareness.
  • Develop Strategy for Visual Merchandising at Stores and ensure implementation of the same.
  • Research the brand acceptance within the region or any new territory and identify any inputs on brand customizations required.
  • Gap competition prices / products and provide qualitative inputs to business.
  • Research and look at new sites for brand outlets and discuss the same with the General Manager.
  • Research on the latest trends in products, brands, styles, designs, fits etc.
  • Evaluate the selected site on parameters like trade area, customer base, additional merchandising considerations and seek internal approvals.
  • Coordinate for new store openings and refits with the operations and projects team.
  • Ensure brand outlet locations are in line with the brand strategy and positioning.

What You'll Do

  • Achieving budgets and targets
  • Writing and maintaining SOPs
  • Staff scheduling and checking attendance.
  • Attendance reporting
  • Staff liaison.
  • Petty cash management and reporting.
  • New outlet site sourcing
  • Competitor analysis.
  • Ensuring agreed outlet standards are met:
  • Inventory management
  • Equipment servicing and maintenance.
  • Daytoday management (80% of the time in outlets/20% at HQ)
  • Coaching and development

What Are We Looking For?

  • 6+ years' experience managing groups of outlets for a leading fashion retail brand in the UAE (other GCC countries is a plus)
  • Experience of managing.
  • Experience of writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • New outlet opening experience.
  • Ability to coach and develop junior members of staff in customer service and selling Techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail skill.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong timemanagement.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficient, multiseniority communicator
  • Owning a car required.

Pay:
AED42, AED47,522.00 per year
