    Job Description As a Billing Manager, you will lead and oversee the billing and revenue cycle management processes to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

    Your expertise in healthcare billing practices, insurance regulations, and team management will contribute to maintaining the hospital's financial health while adhering to local healthcare regulations.


    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the end-to-end billing process, from patient registration and charge entry to claims submission and payment posting.
    • Ensure that all billing activities are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Supervise the utilization and maintenance of billing software systems to streamline claims processing and reporting.
    • Stay informed about updates and advancements in billing technology.
    • Ensure that medical coding practices, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, adhere to local and international coding standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with coding changes and ensure compliance.
    • Monitor key revenue cycle metrics and identify areas for process optimization and improvement.
    • Implement strategies to enhance revenue capture and reduce claim denials.
    • Oversee claims processing, submission, and follow-up to ensure timely reimbursement from insurance companies and government entities.
    • Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure accurate documentation.
    • Manage payment posting procedures to accurately allocate payments to the appropriate accounts.
    • Reconcile payments with accounts receivable and investigate any discrepancies.
    • Lead the insurance verification process to confirm coverage details before patient services are rendered.
    • Collaborate with front-desk staff and insurance providers to ensure accurate information.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the billing team, including coders, billers, and payment processors.
    • Conduct regular training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
    • Ensure strict adherence to local healthcare regulations, billing guidelines, and patient data privacy laws (e.g., DHA regulations, HIPAA).
    • Implement policies to safeguard patient information and maintain compliance.
    • Generate reports on billing performance, collections, and financial metrics for management review.
    • Analyze trends and provide insights to inform strategic decisions.
    • Address patient inquiries and concerns related to billing, insurance claims, and financial assistance programs.
    • Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle management, and clinical departments to optimize billing processes and enhance revenue generation. Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
    • Relevant certifications in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) are advantageous.
    • Proven experience as a Billing Manager in a hospital or healthcare facility in the UAE.
    • In-depth knowledge of UAE healthcare billing regulations, medical coding standards, and revenue cycle management.
    • Familiarity with healthcare billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Strong understanding of insurance claim submission, payment posting, and denials management.
    • Leadership and team management skills to mentor and lead the billing team effectively.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for resolving billing discrepancies and optimizing processes.
    • Thorough understanding of UAE healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and patient data privacy laws.
    • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, clinicians, patients, and insurance representatives.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in billing and claims processing.
    • Adaptability to evolving billing guidelines and industry trends.
    • Availability to work flexible hours as required by the hospital's operational needs
