    Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and we are looking to hire a Lead Technical Engineer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center.

    Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when requiredProviding sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the disciplinePreparation of Loss Prevention / Fire Protection / Fire & Gas Detection PhilosophiesAble to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling using PHAST (or similar) as requiredPerformance of Emergency Escape, Evacuation and Rescue StudiesFire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID'sPerformance of Fire Water demand calculationsPerformance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similarPerformance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawingsPreparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety SignagePreparation of Tender Bid Evaluations and assessment of bids for procured fire and safety equipmentParticipate in vendor meetingsProducing and reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systemsCoordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-upAttend client meetings and communicate issues with lead engineer as requiredInteract with team members in a positive and professional manner at all timesAdhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvementParticipate in internal auditsActively maintain own competence according to standards and pursue continuous professional developmentEnsure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developmentsThorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-upThorough awareness of international codes and standardsAble to interrogate and review Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) as requiredDeputizing for lead engineer where requiredManagement of third party suppliers in the execution of engineering delivery


    Requirements:
    BEng in Chemical EngineeringExperience of Concept / FEED / Detailed Design project phasesMinimum of 15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industryMinimum of 6 years proven capability in an EPC company
