- In charge of a monthly review of all vessel's marine-related logs, reports, records etc.
- Performs accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis, propose corrective/preventive actions and present findings, if so appointed, in the Incident Investigation Team for any marine related incidents.
- Ensures fleet vessels documentations, certifications comply with all international/international regulations, legislation, flag state and classification society requirements and established marine standards in order to meet performance targets and ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Provides the ship with navigational data to prevent navigational hazard when required.
- Ensures all weekly, cumulative and annual corrections for navigational charts and publications are provided on-board in a timely manner.
- Maintains Safety Management System (SMS) updates with consistent improvement to produce quality, accuracy, adequate and efficient procedures. Provide and develop constructive new ideas as applicable to marine issues.
- Ensures compliance with applicable legal and other requirements by all vessels and raise corrective action when necessary related to marine matters.
- Coordinates for ISM, ISPS, MLC, internal audits, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, 55001, SIRE, Rightship inspections and OHSAS 18001 standards / regulations. (Internally / externally).
- Prepares / reviews all the marine-related contracts, such as but not limited to, mooring rope/tails, LSA/FFA shore-based maintenance, gas detection repairs and calibrations, PPE etc.
- Receives and reviews ship requests for all marine related requisitions, repairs, survey etc. ensure follow-up and supervision of such request to ensure compliance with class and International Marine Organization (IMO), OCIMF and ICS rules and recommendations while remaining within budgeted costs.
