Description

An oustanding Early Learning Center is seeking a joyful Art Teacher/Atelierista to oversee our Atelier (Art Studio) that links to studies and discoveries in our learning spaces with children upto to 6 years of age.

The Atelier is a core part of the Reggio Emilia philosophy that our Center embraces.

The Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to early childhood education values above all else the "hundred languages of children," the endless creative ways children interpret and express themselves in the world.

Hence, our Atelieriesta is a key component to our success.

Responsibilities
Bring vision and creativity to a center-wide art programme.

Collaborate with educators on "emergent" projects across all learning spaces.

In the art studio/atelier, offer children creative, process-oriented and project-based ways to explore and express themselves with paint, clay and other media.

Join children and educators for outside art adventures.

Produce detailed documentation.

Plan ongoing art exhibitions.

Communicate with parents and families through newsletters and workshops.

Requirements:

Preferably, applicats have prior teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.

Relevant Art/Design Degree and/or Education.

Solid work ethic, love of learning, great organizational and planning skills, and are fascinated by children's thoughts, imaginations and emerging abilities.

Team work and collaboration.

An educator who is passionate to contribute to something new and extraordinary for children (and educators too).

Excited by the prospect of building a vibrant art programme.
