The Registered Nurse in the Cathlab will be responsible for assisting during cardiac catheterization procedures, providing patient care, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment.

They will collaborate with the medical team to monitor patients, administer medications, and provide post-procedure care.

The Registered Nurse must have a solid understanding of cardiac procedures, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist the medical team during the procedure, handling instruments and providing support.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition throughout the procedure.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy as ordered.
• Follow infection control guidelines and maintain a sterile environment.
• Educate patients and their families about the procedure, risks, and aftercare.
• Provide post-procedure care, monitor recovery, and manage any complications.
• Document all procedures, medications, and nursing care accurately.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Valid nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac or critical care setting.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and post-procedure care.
