About the Role


Moove is looking for an experienced professional with business acumen and an entrepreneurial interest to be Moove's Head of Engineering.

As a proven results-driven person, the Head of Engineering will be integral to the end-to-end development of our technology platforms which will serve our external customers, internal customers and executive team.


The Opportunity


As the Head of Engineering you will collaborate with Moove's MobiIity team, the Fleet team, and other internal teams to build a holistic technical experience for Moove's internal and external customers.

You will partner closely with Product, UX, Data, and Operations to deliver on our overall strategy at a global scale to help address the needs of our users across different markets.


What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate closely with other leads in the Mobility Platform and partner teams to develop and provide longterm engineering vision for the team.
  • Partner with crossfunctional leaders across different areas to solve technical challenges, effectively collaborate and influence shortterm and longterm decisions.
  • Interface with internal customers, identify their priorities and incorporate feedback into the technology roadmap.
  • Manage, coach and mentor engineers and engineering managers.
  • Set and be accountable for the goals and OKRs of the organisation.

What you will need for this position

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building and managing products and platforms for a global audience, working in enterprise and consumer ecosystems, and working with crossfunctional partners.
  • A track record of fullstack development experience, which may include using technologies such as React, React Native, NodeJS, TypeScript, Java and AWS services.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching and managing engineering managers and engineers.
  • Experience leading and building engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar / related technical field.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple teams and influencing technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience driving a portfolio of concurrent and crossfunctional engineering products.
