    Asa member of the Global Communications & Public Affairs teamyou will work crossfunctionally to help communicate withjournalists and other thought leaders; devise specificcommunications materials and campaigns; engage in facetofacemeetings with commentators and other opinion formers; and developprint and webbased material supporting these campaigns. Werelooking for great communicators who can understand complex issuesand explain them in person and also via well written simple blogposts FAQs video scripts and more.

    As aCommunications Manager you will be responsible for managingcommunications around our business platforms consumer products andthe competitive landscape in which we operate. You will workclosely with Sales Marketing and Product teams and will partnerwith media outlets and influencers showing how we help others togrow and succeed.

    We helpinform and educate users advertisers partners opinion leadersandour own employeesabout the benefits of Googles products ourdistinctive company culture/values and our approach to the bigpublic policy issues of the day. You are quickwittedentrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this roleyou are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projectswith tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google and to dogreat work you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can workcrossfunctionally with partners across PR Communications MarketingProduct and beyond.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop close productive relationships withjournalists social influencers key partners and influencers in techbusiness and mainstream press across the Middle East and NorthAfrica with a focus on Saudi Arabia. Think creatively take smartrisks and address tough issues as they arise.
    • Develop written materials including story pitchesmessaging guidelines press releases Q&As presentations andspeeches.
    • Collaborate with Product SalesMarketing and other teams across Google to create compellingcommunication strategies that show the usefulness and key benefitsof our advertising and consumer products.
    • Represent Google as a company spokesperson for a widevariety of media and blogger inquiries. Assist with allcommunications activities in the Middle East and North Africaincluding Saudi Arabia.
