    Description

    Job Title: Chemical Engineer

    Location: UAE (Dubai or Abu Dhabi)

    Job Type: Full-time

    We are seeking a highly experienced chemical engineer to join our team in the Gulf energy group. The successful candidate will have a strong background in oil and gas operational and production, with a focus on hydrocarbon processing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Undertake physical surveys to assess equipment condition and integrity
    • Review operational and maintenance practices and procedures
    • Assess client insurance specifications and requirements
    • Investigate claims and losses
    • Perform risk assessments and produce reports for underwriters, clients, and advisors

    Requirements:

    • Chartered engineer (MIMechE/MIChemE) with a degree in an engineering discipline
    • Strong knowledge and experience of on and offshore hydrocarbon processing
    • Experience in production processing of oil and gas in an operational, technical support or maintenance role
    • Offshore/upstream / oil field/ terminal experience
    • Ability to communicate effectively and write coherent reports

    Desirable Requirements:

    • Understanding and experience of risk engineering in Insurance – what adds value?
    • Preferably some Insurance Industry knowledge and experience
    • Ideally some downstream knowledge (30% of role) – less essential, but desirable
