- Must know all menu items, theirgarnishes, contents and preparation methods and be able to relaythat information to guests in a polite and concise way ifasked
- Serve and clear food and beverage itemsin an unobtrusive and professionalmanner
- Utilize the POS system to ring up sales,print checks
- Carry trays, bus and reset tableswith linen, china, glass and silver
- Ascertainguests' satisfaction and handle solvable problem whichmay arise, informing a manager of the problem and how it wasresolved
- Follow cash and credit card proceduresaccording to the guidelines of the accountingdepartment
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderlyrestaurant throughout service
- Polish silver,refill salt, pepper and sugar, creamers,etc
- Ensure that work station is stocked withappropriate condiments at all times
- Report anyguest comments regarding food and beverage tomanager
- Conscientious handling and maintenanceof operating equipment
- Learn and adhere tosafety, sanitation and hygienepolicies
- Maintain good working relationshipswith colleagues, and all otherdepartments
- Maintain complete knowledge of allF&B services, outlets and hotelservices/features
- Lead opening/closing sideduties as assigned and set all tables according tostandards
