A party retailer in Dubai is looking for an accountant to oversee accounting & finance tasks for its three stores.


The accountant has to ensure financial data is kept up to date by updating/reconciling accounts and preparing the necessary reports.


JOB DESCRIPTION:


  • Prepare daily/monthly sales reports (by category, price, etc.) and ensure timely reporting
  • Incharge of inventory management and conduct regular stock checking and counting
  • Ensure all finances and financial statements are in order and accurate
  • Incharge of recording inventory, barcode creations and pricing
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Payroll preparation, if required
  • Prepare all month end General Ledger journals and expenses
  • Manage and record all expenses and VAT returns
  • Provide training to new and existing staff if needed
  • Support the management with special accounting and finance projects, requirements and procedures

SKILLS
REQUIRED:


  • Strong and solid accounting knowledge and experience
  • Strong English language skills (spoken and written) and effective communication skills
  • Good understanding of business process management
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to create and interpret and analyze financial reports
  • High organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent skills in MS Office and accounting software and systems

JOB DETAILS:


  • Must have Bachelors in Accounting / Finance
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounting and Finance

  • Location: Dubai
  • Working hours: 6 days a week, 9 hours a day
  • Salary: AED3, AED3,500.00 per month depending on experience
