    We are a leading company in theconstruction industry, seeking a dynamic and experienced PermanentEmployee Relations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidatewill have a strong background in managing employee relations,conflict resolution, and partnership building. This role requires astrategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a strongunderstanding of policies and procedures, and the ability to coachand mentor teammembers.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and resolve complex employeerelations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objectiveinvestigations when necessary.
    • Maintainin-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-daymanagement of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuringregulatory compliance.
    • Provide day-to-dayperformance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching,counseling, career development, disciplinaryactions).
    • Work closely with management andemployees to improve work relationships, build morale, increaseproductivity and retention.
    • Provide HR policyguidance and interpretation.
    • Develop, revise,and implement HR policies andprocedures.
    • Prepare and maintain employeedocumentation, including disciplinary records, performanceimprovement plans, and terminationpaperwork.
    • Maintain compliance with federal,state, and local employment laws andregulations.
    • Partner with other departments tocommunicate Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standardsand government regulations.
    • Coach and mentor atmanagement level to develop leadershipcapabilities.
    • Serve as a bilingual resource foremployees and management, with proficiency in Spanish.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in HumanResources or related field required.
    • Minimum of5 years of experience resolving complex employee relationsissues.
    • Working knowledge of multiple humanresource disciplines, including compensation practices,organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity,performance management, federal and state respective employmentlaws.
    • Excellent problem-solving capabilitieswith the ability to analyze complexinformation.
    • Ability to handle and prioritizemultiple tasks.
    • Strong interpersonal andnegotiation skills.
    • Ability to develop strongtrusting relationships in order to gain support and achieveresults.
    • Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment, under pressure, remain flexible, proactive,resourceful and efficient.
    • Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills.
    • Bilingual inEnglish and Spanish.
    • Experience in theconstruction industry is preferred but notrequired.
