Business Development Manager, Corporate Division, General Insurance


Representing Nexus to Corporate Clients, we are looking for a professional and experienced General Insurance BDM to focus on sales and client retention.

Must be a complete all-rounder in all aspects of General Insurance and capable of attacking the market using the company's portal, and work with members of the sales force who provide client leads and who require technical support.


  • Generate growth of Commercial Line General Insurance Business through your existing clients and connections
  • Handle and resolve queries and deliver 'needs based" product advise to consultants and clients (from quotation to policy implementation)
  • Develop professional relationships with distributors and panel of providers
  • Efficient administration of the GI portfolio through service events and follow up
  • Deliver client seminars to educate and promote commercial lines general insurance business
  • Deliver a speedy and efficient service to all stakeholders
  • Generate robust and timely monthly reports and MI to Senior Management
  • Contribute to GI sales model for market and sector penetration
  • Develop and capture cross sale opportunities between GI & Employee Benefits
  • Participate and contribute to project assignments where required
  • Participate in cultivating and maintaining a constructive business environment promoting open exchange, teamwork and mutual support of company goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate a "can do" mindset and a professional attitude is mandatory

What we are looking for:


Ideally 5 to 8 years' experience in a similar role, with enthusiasm and ideas to increase volume and motivate the Sales Force to generate general insurance leads.


  • Familiar with insurance providers operating within the local market, their products and processes, especially properties and casualty insurance
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Fluent in English, and any other language is an asset
  • Dress professionally and present articulately
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • CII qualified

From AED15,000.00 per month
