Responsibilities:


  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for aluminium and steel projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities to the project team.
  • Review and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive cost database for future reference and estimating purposes.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid packages, including supporting documentation and schedules.

Requirements:


  • At least 3 years of experience in aluminIum and steel estimating.
  • Knowledge of aluminium and steel materials, fabrication, and installation processes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:


  • Aluminium and steel estimating: 3 years (required)
