Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Head Designer role located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The primary responsibilities include overseeing the design and production of glass and aluminium projects from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet quality, safety, and aesthetic standards.
The Head Designer will collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop innovative and functional design solutions.Regular tasks also include providing design consultations, preparing detailed drawings, managing project timelines, and supervising a team of designers and engineers to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities- Lead & manage the design team for glass & aluminium projects
- Prepare detailed design drawings, shop drawings, and technical documentation
- Design curtain walls, structural glazing, aluminium façades, windows & doors
- Review, validate, and revise designs to meet project specifications
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors
- Ensure drawings comply with
UAE building codes and industry standards - Conduct site visits for design verification and technical support
- Monitor team performance
- Facilitate design handover to fabrication and installation teams
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field
4–6 years' experience in glass & aluminium design, façade systems or related role
UAE-project experience (preferred)
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools
Strong knowledge and experience in glass and aluminium facade design, architectural details, and structural systems
Ability to develop and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Effective leadership and team management skills to guide designers and engineers
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with clients and project stakeholders
Creative problem-solving skills paired with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
Experience in large-scale commercial or residential projects is an advantage
