    Whatyou will do
    As a Project Engineer you will bebased in Dubai and will be reporting to our Service managerGMOSMEA. Under general direction you will plan and controlexecution of assigned projects and service jobs for our Marinebusiness. You will act as the Subject Matter expert and primaryonsite leader for execution teams assigned. This position will helpyou gain experience in Project management while you contribute toour customers and field operations team.

    As aproject engineer you will be accountable to maximize revenue andprofitability by focusing and driving operational excellence andexecution within either field operations or installation and thusensure to achieve gross margin and productivity levels on existingcontracts.

    How you will do it
    As an experienced project engineer you will beusing your technical skills and expertise to support &development of service and Retrofit projects. You will lead sitesurveys and bring out the report for the Sales team to submit theproposal or to carry out the actual job onboard. Depending on theproject size you will lead a multidisciplined team of siteengineers technicians and designers. You will be responsible forcreating sequence of operations bill of materials project plan andarranging other related documents such as flow diagrams networklayouts and electrical schematics etc. as required. You will beaccountable for staffing and capacity planning of the projectdelivery teams and for ensuring effective utilization of manpowerand overall resources. Interfaces with the Field delivery team tocontrol manpower to proper staffing levels where needed.

    As a project engineer you will coordinate and createnecessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittalsinstallation and manage selection ordering warehousing andlogistics of materials as required for the project. Also whereappropriate liaise with the Supply Chain Department. You will bealso Responsible for flawless and profitable project execution incompliance with contractual obligations (accurate ontime billedwithin budget & scope of contract) and Proactively managesrisks to project and margin achievability through analyzingfinancial reporting systems and project schedules. You willCalibrate solutions and establish project recovery plans.

    As an experienced professional you willinvestigate opportunities for improvements in the project scopethat will result in value added change orders and performassociated cost estimates prepare proposals and secure customeracceptance. You will be involved in prebid process assessespotential risks to project and margin achievability and providesthe field sales organization with objective and reliableinformation related to engineering design cost of labor materialand subcontractors etc. You will also assist in the presalesdevelopment process including plan and spec and negotiated scopesales and provides technical sales assistance to an opportunity inthe sales process.

    What we look for
    Required

    • Bachelors degree in engineering or anassociate degree in a related technical field
    • Minimum 12 years experience in Fire and complexsecurity package project execution/management as a projectengineer. 56 years of experience as a service/project engineer inmaritime/offshore industry preferred.
    • Must be experienced in estimation andpreparation of BOQ for Fire and security systems according tolatest marine and offshore standards.
    • Profound understanding of Fire detectionsuppression PAGA and Security systems and various marine &offshore classification body requirements.
    • Experience in handling EDS and cyber securityconcepts will be an added advantage.
    • Strong project management skills including theability to plan schedule and execute HVAC projects from conceptionto completion.
    • Handsonexperience with Fire and security system installation commissioningtroubleshooting & familiarity with HVAC control systems forretrofit replacement and new build projects.
    • Experience with project management software andtools especially project planning ones.
    • Basic knowledge of Technical design andengineering.
    • Proficiencyin budgeting cost estimation and financial management for HVACprojects
    • Strong leadershipand team management skills and business acumen
    • Effective communicationskills for collaborating with clients contractors architects andother stakeholders.
