Job Summary:

Provides in country technical leadership for all Patriot programs in the United Arab Emirates.

This position will report into the Raytheon engineering function and will be matrixed to the UAE Patriot Program Director located in Abu Dhabi, UAE and the program Chief Engineer.

The key overall responsibility is to provide technical support, oversight, and decision-making approval of activities associated with training, operations, maintenance, and sustainment of current Patriot configurations throughout UAE.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Technical management of technical support associated with Patriot programs, located at several different locations in UAE.


Supporting the Patriot Technical Assistance team with technical issue resolution to ensure mínimal downtime for all fielded assets throughout UAE.

Primary point of contact for technical sustainment needs including logistics analysis, reach-back support for maintenance, TM updates, training, site surveys, and defense planning


Interfacing with various UAE entities supporting and inspecting all tactical site units, including data collection, investigations, upgrades, and emplacement issues.


Developing content and briefing program status, technical issues and impacts, requirements, and new products to inform, advise, and guide UAE decisionmakers.

Communicating to CONUS and connecting with UAE Patriot Chief Engineers and their teams on field/tech issues, customer priorities, and customer RFIs and RFQs


Drive 100% compliance with export regulations for technical data within the in-country team, ensuring all export activities are logged with the in-Country EXIM team.

Management of all engineering changes and assuring proper configuration management of all build documentation.


Achieving critical program schedules, daily program updates and personnel movement, coordination with base commanders, and overall on-site coordination of upgrade activity and technical issue resolution.


Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's Science degree in an Engineering field or equivalent technical degree and 8 years' experience Engineering, technical support and/or Program Management Experience with Patriot Program hardware

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Demonstrated technical expertise with the Patriot Config 3+ weapon system.

Experience interfacing effectively with internal and external customers

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


Qualifications We Value:
Experience leading technical professionals in a field environment.

Technical experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience troubleshooting Patriot hardware in a tactical environment.

Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data Management (PDM), FEDLOG, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM)

Solid mechanical aptitude

Demonstrated experience managing product non conformances and providing technical guidance for material review board (MRB) actions.

Experience using R6s, ACE and/or CORE principles and tools.

A continuous improvement mindset, and ability to challenge status quo while building trusting partnerships that can be proven by past successful engagements.

Experience living and working in the Middle East

Valid passport or driver's license.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
