    Aldar Academies are currently seeking an outstanding Director of Inclusion for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in August 2024.

    Mamoura British Academy is a British curriculum school with a Lower, Middle and Senior School model located in a state of the art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi.     • Leadership:
    • To lead a team of teachers, teaching assistants and personal inclusion assistants across the Academy
    • To create and develop a strong and clear vision of inclusion across Mamoura British Academy
    • To oversee the SEN, EAL and G&T provision from Nursery to Year 13
    • To work with ADEK, Aldar HQ and with Inclusion HoDs across the Aldar Group to ensure that the Inclusion Policy standards are maintained
    • Assessment and data:
    • Taking responsibility for the attainment and progress of all students on the SEN, EAL and G&T register
    • Creating and presenting a data dashboard to track and monitor the attainment and progress of SEN, G&T and EAL students to ensure purposeful and high-quality interventions are planned
    • To track the progress of students against their IEP and ALP targets
    • To complete assessments of PoD and SEN students for admissions
    • To assess students for additional examination support and support examinations officer in submitting access arrangements
    • Behaviour management and duties:
    • To follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy and promote the Mamoura Values DNA to set high expectations
    • Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils' needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
    • Maintain good relationships with pupils and parents and follow the school's procedures to manage and challenge any rare occurrences of unwanted behaviour
    • Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils
    • Carry out playground and other duties in a punctual, interactive and proactive manner
    • Ensure that any concerns relating to behaviour & Safeguarding are accurately followed up on and logged on CPOMS
    • Wider professional responsibilities
    • To work as part of the Lower School and Middle & Senior School Leadership Teams to ensure Inclusion is a high priority across the whole school
    • Support with organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
    • Communicate effectively with parents/carers with regards to student's achievements and well-being using school systems/processes
    • Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
    • To run a weekly ECA each term to enhance the provision we offer for our students

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor degree in Special Education or Bachelor Degree in with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and a Diploma in Special Education.

    Minimum Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years teaching experience as an Inclusion Teacher.
