Description

As an MEP Draughtsman, you'll play a crucial role in translating the designs of our MEP engineers into detailed and accurate construction drawings using industry-standard CAD software.

• Drawing creation:
• Accurately and efficiently develop detailed construction drawings for diverse MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) using software like AutoCAD or Revit.
• Follow established drafting standards and project specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with engineers to clarify design details and resolve discrepancies.
• Technical documentation:
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documents like shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation instructions.
• Assist with creating and maintaining the drafting library, including symbols, components, and details.
• Quality control:
• Conduct thorough quality checks of your drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Communicate any potential issues or inconsistencies to the engineers promptly.
• Additional tasks:
• May participate in site surveys and inspections to gain onsite understanding.
• Assist with drafting related tasks as assigned by the CAD lead or project manager:
• 3+ years of experience as a CAD Drafter, preferably in the MEP design field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit software (familiarity with both is a plus).
• Strong understanding of drafting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of relevant MEP systems and terminology is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Passion for creating highquality drawings.
• Ability to learn new software and adapt to changing workflows.
