    Description

    Summary:

    • The E&A Engineer will supportscoping, engineering and design execution, and implementation ofelectrical, controls, and automation engineering for capitalprojects.
    • The E&A engineer will provideoversight of engineering and design execution by Client and 3rdparty resources, and the engineer will provide technical support toClient Engineering (NPE), the Factory engineering team, and thelocal Project Management Organization (PMO) engineering team, insupport of the execution of capital projects.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Lead electrical, controls, andautomation engineering and design for Capital Projects, workingwith a cross-functional team of engineers that includes CorporateEngineering (NPE), Factory Engineering, and 3rd party engineeringand design Consultants.
    • Lead the execution ofelectrical, controls, and automation engineering and designdeliverables, including power distribution single-line diagrams,network topology diagrams, control panel layouts with Bill ofMaterial and schematic wiring diagrams, safety logic tables usedduring safety validation, Division 26 and 27 constructionspecifications, and development of construction and integratorscopes of work.
    • Develop Capital Project scopesof work, support the creation of engineering and design projectschedules from engineering through commissioning, and createrequests for proposal (RFP) for Capital Project engineering anddesign services for the electrical, controls, automation, andintegration scopes of work.
    • Provide oversightand technical support for the creation of project engineering anddesign deliverables being executed by Factory engineering, localProject teams, and 3rd party engineering and design consultants andcontractors.
    • Support responses to consultantand contractor requests for information (RFI's) duringengineering, construction and commissioning. Provide engineeringsupport to the construction team during construction closeoutactivities and commissioningactivities.
    • Provide technical coaching andtraining of Factory engineering resources, local PMO engineeringresources, and 3rd party consultants on the NPE project executionand electrical and automationrequirements.
    • Support the review and approvalof project approval drawings and participate in Factory AcceptanceTests. Verify that the proposals, approval drawings and equipmentmeet the requirements of the technical specifications and theoverall intent of the design.
    • Maintain workingknowledge of Client Engineering ways of working and engineering anddesign standards and guidelines.

    Basic Qualification(Minimum):

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree inEngineering or related field AND 5+ years of experience withcontrol systems design in a food, beverage, or industrialmanufacturing environment, including startup &commissioning of new production lines (MUST HAVE).OR
    • Associate's Degree in Engineering orrelated field AND 7+ years of experience with control systemsdesign in a food, beverage or industrial manufacturing environment,including startup & commissioning of new production lines(MUST HAVE).

    Skills:

    Essential:

    • WorkAutonomously
    • Strong Communication/WritingCapabilities
    • Competency in PLC (RockwellAutomation, Modicon) and PC-Based -HMI/SCADA (iFIX and Ignition)design, programming, andimplementation
    • Competency in SafetyInstrumented System design, programming, andvalidation
    • Competency in PC operating systemsand Industrial Networking
    • Competency in usingMicrosoft Office products
    • Ability to work witha cross-functional team of engineers, operations, and maintenanceteam members
    • Ability to read and interpretcontrol schematics, wiring diagrams, power distribution single-linediagrams

    Important:

    • Working knowledge of ElectricalSafety and Hazardous Energy Control Procedures(HECP)
    • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NationalElectric Code), electrical installation and wiringpractices

    Beneficial:

    • Familiarity with machine riskassessments
    • Familiarity with powerdistribution
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD, BluebeamRevu, Adobe Acrobat
    • Competency in Siemens PLCdesign, programming, and implementation

    Required:

    • Ability to travel up to 20% of thetime
    • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.Requires daily walking through a constructionsite
