**Technical Manager

  • Civil works**We are looking for a
    Technical Manager to join our team to Provide Civil & Structural project management oversight of appointed consultants and contractors. Monitoring design, supervision during construction to ensure best practice design and quality construction is delivered on time and to cost.

Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Develop working templates for establishing and tracking project Civil & Structural requirements, technical specifications, cost estimations and appointment of contractors.
  • Work with the Project Manager to establish key performance indicators for critical Civil & Structural parameters on the project.
  • Develop systems for reporting to monitor and track Civil & Structural technical issues
  • Review the supervision consultant's procedures for quality checks and site inspections for Civil & Structural and monitor processes to address all Civil & Structural site related issues.
  • Serve as the Civil & Structural expert in the PM team for all matters related to design, quality assurance and documentation of structural works.
  • Acquire a detailed understanding of contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, Civil & Structural systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, and project schedules to advise the project manager as necessary.
  • Assist in the development and review of Civil & Structural systems for the project. Manage the supervision consultant to approve the contractor's asbuilt drawings and submittals and log Civil & Structural changes and asbuilt information.
  • Monitor design consultants and the Civil & Structural supervision consultants with regard to approvals and liaise with local authorities and ministerial agencies as necessary.
  • Assist project team in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules and prepare recommendations on claims approval or rejection.
  • Assist in development of RFPs/Tenders by QPM as part of the procurement process. Coordinate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager (onsite) to collate and analyze periodic reports to help understand project performance against Civil & Structural standards and drive remedial actions.
  • Coordinate with QA to monitor compliance by the Civil & Structural consultants and contractors with management plans.
  • Review and coordination of all engineering design submittals from subcontractors, as well as following up site supervision, design conflicts and variation orders for the client.
  • Review technical submissions and design layouts as well as material submittals from subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets etc

Skills

  • Proficiency in architectural and engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Primavera.
  • Immediate Joiners preferred.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry in UAE
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations

Requirements:


  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 10 years post graduate experience and must have worked on construction projects.
  • Regional experience will be given significant preference
  • Understanding of overall construction engineering disciplines
  • Civil & Structural Value Engineering
  • IT tools and systems supporting Civil & Structural design and construction project management

Salary:
AED1.00 - AED2.00 per month
