    Description
    • To provide accurate and completefinancial and management reports on a timely and accurate basis tohotel management, corporate office and owners in accordance withthe company and ownership reporting requirements and policy. Inaddition, the Director of Finance is responsible for reportingaccurately and timely, the actual results as compared tobudget/forecast results. He/she is to maintain adequate records toreflect the comparison of the actual expenditures for furniture,equipment and operating equipment to the budgetedamounts.
    • Responsible for the analysis andinterpretation of the financial data and communicating this in acomprehensible form, of meaningful variations in theoperations.
    • To assist other department heads inthe development and implementation of "corrective actionplans" on internal and or external audit and operationalreports.
    • To assist in the development andimplementation of bench-marking techniques that will enable thehotel to enhance revenues while improving productivity and costefficiencies. To seek, identify and implement throughout the hotelbest practices that will serve to enhance revenues, guest serviceand improve cost and productivityefficiencies.
    • Ensure cash flow is adequate tomeet the needs of the operation. Approve all cash disbursements andensure that all disbursements are properly documented and executed.Approve all rebates, adjustments and allowances in accordance withcompany policy.
    • The position is directlyaccountable to manage the hotel accounting department, informationand internal control systems and hotel finances in accordance withall policy and procedures. This position is accountable for thedevelopment, documentation, and support of Financial Polices andOperational Procedures to include performance monitoring as itrelates to the hotels.
    • To protect the ownersand the management company's interest in the hotel assetsand operations.
    • To participate in thedevelopment, maintenance and adherence to a single chart ofaccounts, payroll and expense dictionary, and the function ofaccounts in order that the hotels financial and statistical data isaccurately and consistently recorded andreported.
    • Has a fiduciary responsibility to theCompany and/or Owners for ensuring the hotels are reporting incompliance with the policies, the Uniform Chart of Accounts andhotel management or other contractual arrangements with respect toaccounting matters.
    • The analysis of the balancesheet accounts, on a selected basis and the preparation of themonthly internal bench-marking and operational performance analysisreports.
